Belated Follow-up & Archive
So the "WEIRD AL" concert was awesome!! All the songs he sang I knew, so I sang along. After the concert, my friend Quince and I tried to see Al and get him to sign a print of the pic and give him the original (the one from the last post). Unfortunately, they didn't let us in but promised to give it to Mr. Yankovic. Props to Quince for being extremely supportive and the talker through it all as I was star struck. There were people there with VIP Backstage Passes. Ohh well, perhaps next time. Stupidly, I forgot to put my contact info with the Caricature, so I sent the same pic for the Gallery Page on his website and added my contacts. Time will tell what will happen. Stay tuned. So people often ask me if I do anything other than caricatures and comics. The answer is yes! This is from my archive probably Ricks(now BYU Idaho). Nowadays, I attend a Monthly sketch group when I have the time. So variety will be on the menu this week on the blog. Expect a post every other day. Who knows what it could be? Medium: white conte. On 9x12 Canson Brown textured paper.

Dare to Be Fanboy Day 3: Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz
Day 3 Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz. Weird Al's drummer. And unbeknownst but now knownst his official archiver of the Weird Al band. I found out they have just came out with "Weird Al"
Trading cards. A definite must have for me. And, I would not be surprised if images came from Bermuda's inventory. He also did the Weird Al website. Way to go Bermuda! Pencil sketch. 5.5x 8.5 paper.

"Dare to be Fanboy" Week: Day 1 "Weird Al"
Day 1-- "Weird Al" Yankovic Doodle. I've decided this week will be Al all week. In preparation for the caricature I am planning on presenting him and his band at the concert. I figured why not? I have been a caricaturist for 8 years. Why not draw my favorite group and present him with it? Yes I am a fan and it may be shameless but I'm sure I'm not alone. Anyway rather than babble, for the next five days you will see here the sketches thumbies and/or roughs leading up to the picture of him and his band. Perhaps I'll even get him to sign it. That would be sweet! Graphite & Airbrush. Top corner of a 12x16 sheet of paper.
